Design, Drink and Be Merry: The Craft Brew Art Movement is the only exhibition in the country devoted exclusively to art created by America's craft breweries. Design Drink and Be Merry seeks to honor
all of the talent, energy and hard work that goes into creating a beer or
brewery’s visual identity. By taking the art off of a bottle label (or case, or
Web site) and hanging it on a gallery wall, we try to open people’s eyes to the
truly remarkable things that are going on in design world of the craft beer
industry. This year, the exhibition will open June 26th in the GoggleWorks Cohen Gallery, and close at the end of July. The show began in 2008, and runs every June at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts, in Reading, PA. Some of the most successful craft breweries in the country, including Dogfish Head, Shmaltz, Long Trail and Flying Dog, have had work exhibited. Each year, the show is accompanied by a beer tasting event that raises money for the GoggleWorks After School Arts Program. At this insanely fun event, guests have a chance to taste beers presented by some of the breweries involved, and to bid on baskets of beer and breweriana.
